(From Parker Mortuary) Jason Michael Hershey, age 31, Carthage, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021 at his home.
Jason was born February 4, 1989 in Oskaloosa, Iowa, and grew up in Oskaloosa and Pella, Iowa where he graduated from Pella High School. He worked in construction and truck repair and loved riding motorcycles. He also loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his kids, and family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides.
Survivors include his mother, Machell Hershey and fiancé Tim Bartlett; father, Kevin Hershey (Paula) all of Carthage; children, Tucker Jenkins, Payton Hershey, Allison Hershey, and Tris Hershey; grandmother, Joyce Hershey of Carthage; sister, Harlie Hodge; brothers, Albert Hershey, Dylan Hershey, and Hunter Hershey; aunt, Shari Riner (Frank); uncles, Clet Hershey (Pam), Bryon Hershey (Connie); several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Carthage Municipal Park with Pastor Kaleb Wilson officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
