(From Kriegshauser Mortuary)Susan G. Holtzman, 78, retired freelance graphic artist passed 9AM, 25 January, 2021, at Barnes Jewish Hospital. Ms. Holtzman was born and raised in north St. Louis. She graduated from Jennings High School in 1960. Ms. Holtzman attended Missouri Southern State University.
She was an entrepreneur much like her father and eventually started her own freelance writing and photography business. Previous to her freelance work, Susan performed graphic design for CMC Electronics Corp, and Brown Shoe Company.
Susan loved to travel, talk to people, ride horses, her cats, writing, painting, and photography. She loved her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard H "Bill" Holtzman Sr, LaVeryne nee Neidringhaus, Holtzman; Uncle and Aunt, Edward G. Holtzman, a St. Louis attorney and Nellie Durocher Holtzman. Surviving are her sister Judy (Leroy) Hamann of Belleville, Ill.; and beloved nephew W. Scott Hamann Ms. Holtzman was loved and will be missed by all. Memorials may be made to St Louis Art Museum, and/or Regional Arts Commission (racstl.org).
Funeral Service was held on January 29, 2021 at 7:00 pm at Kriegshauser Mortuary-West Chapel, 9450 Olive Blvd, Saint Louis, Missouri. Interment will be held on January 30, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Memorial Park Cemetery 5200 Lucas and Hunt Rd, St. Louis, MO
