(From Lakin Funeral Home)Rhonda Kay Mettlach, age 49, of Pierce City, MO passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Bentonview Park Health and Rehab. in Monett, MO. She was born in Monett, MO on Saturday, October 09, 1971; the daughter of Jerry and Reta (Harris) Pearce.
Ms. Mettlach graduated from Pierce City High School in 1990 where she was active in the FFA. She loved riding horses, trail riding, rodeoing, and cooking. Ms. Mettlach valued time spent with family and grandkids. She was a member of the Pierce City Saddle Club. Ms. Mettlach was the head cook at the Monett Senior Citizen's Center for many years.
Surviving are the following; her parents, Jerry and Reta Pearce of Pierce City, MO; two daughters, Brandi and husband, Gary, Goodson of Carl Junction, MO and Ashlie Mettlach of Pierce City, MO; three brothers, Stan and wife, Mendy, Pearce of Monett, MO, David Green of Pierce City, MO, and Gary Pearce of Joplin, MO; three sisters, Sharon Cleveland of Joplin, MO, Terri and husband, Kevin, Lucas of Rogersville, MO, and Susan Pearce of Monett, MO; seven grandchildren, Keegan, Harli, Jaxon, Nolan, Owen, Rhett, and Ryker. She will be missed by so many other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church in Pierce City, MO on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be at First Baptist Church in Pierce City, MO on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 beginning at 10:00 AM with Pastor Dan Toney officiating. Burial will follow at Berwick Cemetery near Pierce City, MO.
Memorials may be made to Fir Road Christian Church in Carl Junction, MO in care of the funeral home.
