(From Daniel Funeral Home)Charles Richard Hinkle, age 92, of Sheldon, Missouri passed away January 23, 2021, at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada, Missouri.
Charles was born June 16, 1928 in Lamar, MO to Ralph Hamilton Hinkle and Elva Sue (Harbison) Hinkle. On November 30, 1952, Charles married Joyce Katharan Tiedt in Lamar, MO.
Charles served in the United States Army and worked as a Cab Assembler at John Deere in Waterloo, IA for 28 years. Charles was a member of the Lamar VFW Post #3691 and the Lamar American Legion. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, throwing horse shoes and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Survivors include his wife Joyce, one daughter; Candy (Brad) Williams, Chariton, IA, three sons; Robert (Judy) Hinkle, Waterloo, IA, Don (Kristi) Hinkle, Bronaugh, MO and Randy (Valerie) Hinkle, Iowa Falls, IA, eight grandchildren; Wendy, Chad, Amy, Jason, Jessica, Jerad, Eric and Drew, 15 great-grandchildren, two brothers; Amos (Maryann) Hinkle, Bronaugh, MO, Milton (Mary Jane) Hinkle, Sheldon, MO and one sister; Joy (Steve) Snyder, Warsaw, MO.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon, MO.
