(From Clark Funeral Home)Diane Hilton was born May 10, 1954 in Neosho, Missouri, one of three daughters to Rex and Betty (Ritter) VanDorn. She entered into rest on January 19, 2021 in Joplin, following a two week illness at the age of 66.
She was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Neosho High School class of 1972. Diane had worked at Teledyne, Neosho Public Schools and Premier Turbines.
Following the closing of Premier Turbines, she returned to school and obtained her LPN degree and worked at Golden Living Center in Anderson before retiring in May of 2020.
Diane loved her family deeply and she never missed a birthday party for her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was very family oriented and she loved her farm and all of nature. She enjoyed traveling and seeing all of the natural beauty.
Diane and Danny Hilton were married on May 15, 1980 at their farm in Neosho and he survives. In addition to her husband of forty years, she is survived by two children, Maggie Hilton and fiance', William Breedlove of Joplin and Ben Hilton and wife, Trista of Highlandville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Gabe, Caylin, Carson and Atlas; her mother, Betty VanDorn of Neosho and two sisters, Carolyn Russell and husband, Davie and Annette VanDorn, both of Neosho.
She is preceded in death by her father, Rex.
A family service will be held at a later date. Contributions in honor of Diane may be made to Neosho Bright Futures Program.
