Sherry Johnson

Sherry S. Johnson was born September 14, 1940 in Neosho, Missouri, one of two daughters to Harry and Phyllis (Mitchell) Buchanan. She entered into rest on January 23, 2021 at the age of 80, following a lengthy illness. 

Sherry was a graduate of Neosho High School and attended Joplin Junior College. She began her banking career working at Bank of Neosho, then working at First National Bank and their successors until her retirement from U.S. Bank. She enjoyed reading her Kindle, knitting, her pets and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Sherry and Gary Johnson were married on November 19, 1960 in Neosho and he preceded her in death on April 26, 2015.

 

She is survived by three daughters, Becky (Todd) Henderson of Galena, Kansas, Stephanie (Donald) Walcher of Republic, Missouri and Michelle Hansen of Kansas City, Missouri; six grandchildren, Stephen (Sarah) Walcher, Joey (Amber) Walcher, Lacee Walcher, Bailey Spence, Emilee Bosarge and Zackry Hansen; three great grandchildren, Alexis, Benjamin and Mackenzie and one sister, Carol (Lee) Richards of Neosho.
