(From Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home)Mr. James Andrew “Jimmy” Campbell, IV, 54, of Joplin, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday morning, January 24, 2021, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin.
Jimmy entered this life on September 6, 1966, in Joplin, Missouri, born to the union of the late James Andrew Campbell, III and Shirley (Dunaway) Campbell. He was a lifelong area resident and a 1985 graduate of Webb City High School.
For several years, Jimmy managed many of the Dollar General Stores in the area. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid KC Chiefs fan. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson and his nieces and nephews. Jimmy was a Veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Paula Hopper and Michael Campbell.
Jimmy is survived by his two children, Stephanie Campbell of Webb City and James Campbell, V of Japan; a grandson, Brayden Bridges; two siblings, Mark Campbell of Joplin and Debbie Henson of Webb City; five nieces and nephews; three great nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Webb City Cemetery with Brett Henson officiating. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Zane Persinger, David Rawlins, Walter Furry, Brett Henson, Billy Dunaway and Jackie Clark with Brayden Bridges, Mark Campbell, Dan Milner and Greyson Milner serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home in Webb City. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home in Webb City.
