(From Parker Mortuary)Sandra Lee Doolin, age 78, Joplin, Missouri passed away at her home on January 22, 2021 surrounded by her family.
Sandra was born on August 14, 1942 to the late Henry Spenny and Marjorie (Hainline) Spenny. She had lived in the Joplin area most of her life, graduating from Joplin High School in 1960.
After graduation Sandra attended Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. She enjoyed being a homemaker but also worked at Allegier Martin and Associates, Inc. as an engineering clerk for approximately 15 years before retiring.
Sandra was a long-time member of South Joplin Christian Center. She enjoyed tending to her garden and flowers, reading and sewing. Sandra was known to have made several stylish barbie clothes for her daughter Lora’s dolls. Sandra cherished the time spent at home with her family, dog Sunny and precious grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sandra was united in marriage to Charles David Doolin on December 6, 1963, in Joplin, Missouri. Together they shared 57 years her passing. He survives at the home.
In addition to her husband Sandra is also survived by her daughter, Lora Jorris and husband, Jack; grandson, Clint Jorris; granddaughter, Rachel Kimmel and husband, Trent; great grandchildren, Samuel and Reid Kimmel; sisters, Pamela Rodriques and Joyce Tate; together with several extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
