(From Fohn Funeral Home)Beverly Ann “Betty” Shockley, age 85, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at The Communities of Wildwood Ranch in Joplin, Missouri.
She was born July 5, 1935 in Exeter, Missouri, the daughter of Rolland and Veva (Garrison) Hopkins who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Robert Hopkins and Darrell Hopkins; two sisters Peggy McCain and Frankie Vanderpool.
Surviving are three sons, Rick Lester and his wife Jeanenne of Lawrence, Kansas, Donnie Lester and his wife Michelle of Joplin, Missouri and Brian Lester and his wife Sara of Overland Park, Kansas; three brothers, Wendell Hopkins and his wife Fern of Cassville, Missouri, Jimmy Hopkins and his wife Sharon of Cassville, Missouri and Jay Hopkins and his wife Ann of Pleasant Hope, Missouri; one sister, Donna Guzman of San Jose, California; seven grandchildren, Josh, Julie, Tony, Bradley, Addison, Mason and Miles and two great grandchildren, Harper and Logan.
Betty received her education in Cassville schools. She worked at Jumping Jacks Shoe Factory which later became Justin Boot from where she retired. After retiring she worked at Hardee’s and was an Avon lady for years. A favorite pastime was gardening and taking care of her flowers. Betty loved spoiling her grandkids and taking care of others. She was a member of Blessing Heights Worship Center.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 29, 2021 at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Reverend James Stewart will conduct the services.
Viewing will be from 1:00 until 5:00 P.M. Thursday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
