(From Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home)James R. VanWagner SR, 72, Neosho, MO, passed away January 14, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO after a sudden illness.
James Roy VanWagner SR was born November 14, 1948 in Saint Paul, MN the son of LeRoy David and Charlotte (Netlan) VanWagner. James attended high school in Monte Vista, CA. He was a Navy Veteran.
James was a auto mechanic and retired from Greg Freeman Auto Salvage, Joplin, MO. He enjoyed working on cars, woodworking, metal fabrication, fishing and spending time with family. James loved to pull pranks and family and friends.
James Roy VanWagner SR married Valerie Jeanne Nichols August 2, 1969 in Mountain View, CA and she survives.
Additional survivors include his children; James Roy VanWagner JR, Neosho, Travis Wayne VanWagner, Wyandotte, Kellie Jeanne Baird, Neosho and Brent Edward VanWagner, Seneca; siblings; Sandra Triplette, Mesa, AZ, Arza VanWagner, Mesa, AZ and Kim VanWagner, Tulsa, OK; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his parents and one brother David VanWagner.
The body has been taken for cremation under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca,
