(From Lakin Funeral Home)Nevaeh Savannah Oie Aust, age 17, of Mount Vernon, MO passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Miss Aust was born in San Diego, CA on Saturday, September 20, 2003. She was the daughter of Donald and Teresa "Lupe" (Costa) Aust.
Nevaeh was a Junior at Mt. Vernon High School where she played the tuba in the school band. She loved music and enjoyed going to the Pellegrinos Music School in Springfield, MO where she was a singer in a band.
Nevaeh played softball for the Mt. Vernon Mountaineers. She drew very well and enjoyed art. Neveah had a dog "Bear" that she loved. Nevaeh wanted to become a counselor for teenagers.
Surviving are the following: her parents/grandparents, Donald and Teresa "Lupe" Aust of Mt. Vernon, MO; two uncles, Donnie Aust and Claus Goritschnig; two aunts, Brandy Goritschnig and Laura Guiffreda; biological parents, Eric and Michelle Oie, maternal grandmother, Frances Garcia; maternal grandfather, Anthony Guiffreda. She will be missed by many friends as well.
Nevaeh has been cremated at her family's request. Memorial Services will be held at First Baptist Church, 602 S Hickory St., Mt. Vernon, MO 65712 on Thursday, Feb 4, 2021 at 6:00 PM.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
