Glenn Betterton

Glenn Scott Betterton, age 60, born on August 18, 1960 in Joplin Missouri to the late Ernest Betterton and Mildred (Sally) Betterton. Scott passed away on January 3, 2020 following an illness.

Scott is survived by one daughter, Carrie Jones and husband, Taylor of Webb City; two grandsons, Hunter and Boen Jones; a sister, Eva Temczuk and husband, Craig of Arizona. Preceding him in death a brother, Ernest Craig.

Scott was a lifetime lover of the Beatles. “Let it Be” being an inspiration to him. He enjoyed music and movies and all sports. Some of the best times of his life were spent at Kansas City Chiefs games. He quite frequently quoted music and movie lyrics in his daily life. He had a love for history and learning new things all of his life.

No longer riding on the merry-go-round I just had to let it go.”

John Lennon was a true inspiration to Scott. He and his endless knowledge, and fun facts will be missed by many.

Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
