Skyler Ryan

(From Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Skyler N. Ryan, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend. Skyler passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at her home in Altamont, Kansas.

Skyler Nichole Peak was born on February 24,1999, in Girard, Kansas, to her proud parents, Donny and Susie (Kruse) Peak. Skyler grew up in Parsons and attended Meadow View Grade School. She was a 2017 graduate of Labette County High School.

Skyler was a devoted wife to her high school sweetheart, Klein Martin Ryan, and they celebrated 9 beautiful years together. Their daughter, Blaike Sky Ryan, was the absolute center of Skyler’s universe. Her role as a stay-at-home mom to Blaike was her most cherished and rewarding job. She found so much joy in witnessing Blaike’s every milestone, and their bond was an extraordinary testament to a mother’s love. Skyler also embraced her role as an aunt to her nephews, Koehn and Brooks, loving them as her own. An animal lover at heart, she found joy in the company of her two beloved dogs.

On August 1, 2020, Skyler and Klein Martin Ryan were united in marriage at the Cedar Tree Barn in rural Parsons.

Skyler’s memory will forever be cherished by her loving family. Survivors include her husband, Klein Ryan, and her daughter, Blaike Sky Ryan, of the home; her parents, Donny and Susie Peak, of Parsons, Kansas; her sister, Alex Stice and her husband, Taylor, of Altamont, Kansas; brother, Kooper Peak, of Lawrence, Kansas; and her nephews, Koehn and Brooks Stice, of Altamont, Kansas.

Other survivors include her maternal grandfather, Charles Kruse, of Hepler, Kansas; her uncle, Richard Kruse and his wife, Carol, of Lawrence, Kansas; her in-laws, Jacob and Julie Ryan, of Altamont, Kansas; and her brother-in-law, Austin Ryan and his wife, Cailey, of Overland Park, Kansas.

Skyler was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Dolline Kruse; her uncle, Steve Kruse; and her aunt, Brenda Davis.

Skyler’s light touched all who knew her, and her memory will forever shine brightly in our hearts. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and the profound bond she shared with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Skyler’s impact on our lives will be a lasting legacy, and her memory will continue to bring warmth and love to those she left behind.
