Deborah “Debbie” Louise Thompson 66, of Weir, KS died 1:26pm Thursday December 24, 2020 in Jasper, MO on H highway in an automobile accident.

Debbie was born July 21, 1954 in Webb City, MO the daughter Curtis and Nola (Jarnigan) Williams. Debbie was a graduate of Webb City High School in 1972. Debbie was a resident Weir, KS most of her adult life.

On February 24, 1979 Debbie married Mark Russell Thompson in Weir, KS; he survives at the home.

Debbie as a young woman worked at the Shirt Factory in Webb City, MO; Ace Electric in Columbus, KS; a cook at the Weir Elementary School and most recently as a custodian for Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS.

Debbie was of the Christian Faith; was known as a caring and loving woman that was eager to help anyone in need. Debbie was also known to spoil and love her grandkids and had never met a stranger. She was also the life of the party and had a laugh and voice that could be recognized by anyone that spent any time with her.

Survivors include her husband; children Aaron Williams and wife Julie of Weir, KS and Rusty Thompson of Weir, KS; siblings Betty Luckie of Rogers, AR, Barbara McMurry of Pittsburg, KS, Glenda Love of O’Fallen, MO and Becky Jenkins of Pittsburg, KS; grandchildren Hannah Stump and husband Matt, Malachi Williams, Hope Williams, Faith Williams, Isaiah Williams, Lance Thompson, Jade Thompson, Brysyn Thompson and Kryzlyn Thompson.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and brother Butch Williams.

Funeral Services will be 10:00am Monday January 11, 2021 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir, KS with Pastor Aaron Williams officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Hosey Hill Cemetery when Mark Thompson is released at the hospital. Visitation will be informal from 12-7:00pm Sunday January 10, 2021 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir, KS; friends may call after 12:00pm Sunday. In lieu of the flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 104 W. Main St. Weir, KS 66781.
