(From Parker Mortuary)Funeral services for Evelyn Jeanine Gray Sampson, 73, of Gilmer, will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Apostolic Lighthouse Church, Racine, Missouri. Interment to follow at New Salem Church Cemetery, Neosho, Missouri.
The family will receive friends 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, January 11 at Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, January 10, 2021 at McWhorter Funeral Home, Gilmer, Texas.
Evelyn was born March 1, 1947, in Joplin, Missouri, to Lawrence Rudolph and Eva Bell Boyd Gray and passed from this life January 8, 2021 in Gilmer, Texas. She worked as a seamstress for La-Z-Boy Manufacturing in Neosho, Missouri for 23 years.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Wayne Sampson; daughter, Christina Jones and husband, Richard; sister, Sharon Jones; brother, Bill Gray; grandchildren, Matthew Sampson, Jennifer Sampson, Jessica Miller, Dusty Sampson, Angela Romero, Mariah Jones and Kayden Jones; great grandchildren, Brooklyn Myers and nine others.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Luther Sampson; brother, Larry Gray; sister, Nancy Craven; and by her grandson, Thomas Sampson.
