(From Ozark Funeral Home)Howard Gene Cooper, 88, of Jane, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, January 11, 2021, in the comfort of his home.
Gene entered this life on July 5, 1932, in Bentonville, Arkansas, son of the late Claude and Ruby (Mosier) Cooper.
He was a lifelong area resident and a 1950 graduate of White Rock High School. Gene was a self-employed drywall hanger throughout his life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid baseball enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Arnold Cooper.
Gene is survived by his wife, Kay Cooper of the home; seven children, Debbie Newbury and husband, Malcolm, of West Fork, Arkansas, Cindy Wofford and husband, Duke, of Bentonville, Debra Slinkard and husband, Chub, of Jane, Lanna Nichols and husband, J.R., of Gravette, Thomas Russell of Powell, David Russell and wife, Marsha, of Springdale and Gina Marrs and husband, Tim, of Jane; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a brother, Dennis Cooper of Reno, Nevada; a sister, Sharron Leautier also of Reno, Nevada; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday evening, January 14, 2021 from 5-7:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
