Rita Brock

Lorita (Rita) Louise Brock was born March 4, 1938 to Clarence and Ruby (Hopkins) Winchester. She entered into her eternal rest on January 10, 2021 after a short illness. 

She was the eldest of eleven children: Clara (R.T.) Jay, Twyla (Wayne) Crabb, Linda (Richard) Davidson, Gloria (Rick) Bledsoe, Larry (Katha) Winchester, Pam (Larry) Murphy, Jerry (Sharon) Winchester, Carla (Tommy) Burr, Jan (Kevin) Lankford, and Joy (Dan) Krohn. 

Rita married Paul E. Brock on April 19, 1959. He survives of the home. To this union God blessed with three sons: Alan (Janet) Brock, James (Jessica) Brock, and Randall (Pam) Brock. Her in-laws were J.O. and Velma Brock. 








Rita was blessed with nine grandchildren: Krysti (Nelson Watson) Sanny, Brandon (LeighAnne) Brock, Jeremiah (Alexa McNeely) Brock, Mandi (Adrian) Brantley, Stacia Brock, Casey (Ally) Brock, Brittani (Casey) Swett, Jared (Tandy) Brock, and Jacob (Josie Ludwig) Brock. 

Rita is survived by twelve great grandchildren: Aliyah Brantley, Kinsley Brantley, Alyssa Vasquez, Justice Brock, Molly Watson, Carter McNeely, Elijah Brock, Jude Brock, Caitlyn Bressler, Scott Brock, Joey Brock, and Josh Brock. Rita is survived by three sisters-in-law: Dottie (Charles) Brock, Ronna (Bill) Brock and Bonita (Jack) Brock and a host of other relatives and friends. 

 Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ruby Winchester, one sister, Linda Davidson, one son, Randall Brock, in-laws, J.O. and Velma Brock, and brothers-in-law: Larry Murphy, R.T. Jay, Charles Brock, Bill Brock, and Jack Brock.

Rita was a hairdresser for many years and upon retirement worked at Walmart for several years as a sampler and door greeter. She enjoyed traveling, attending church activities, anything that was related to grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was an avid reader. Rita was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and baked many pies and dishes to support the church activities. She taught second grade Sunday School, worked in VBS and the nursery.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church, Neosho, with Pastor Mike Leake officiating. Interment will follow at New Salem Cemetery, Neosho. 

Honoring Rita by serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Brandon Brock, Jeremiah Brock, Casey Brock, Jared Brock, Jacob Brock, and Adrian Brantley. The family will have a time of visitation from 4:30 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church.
