Robert Tromsness

Robert D. Tromsness, 60, of Galesburg, died at 11:00 Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Labette Health.

He was born August 23, 1960 at Ogden UT, a son of Adrian Verdell and Jacqueline D. (Piepkorn) Tromsness. In 1968 his family moved to Parsons and later Galsesburg, where he attended school. 

He graduated from the Erie High School and began working at Newberry Construction. He later operated his own construction business. He also worked at Tank Connection in later years.

On May 24, 1980 he and Donna Marie Blaine were united in marriage at Erie. They later divorced.

He was Christian and was confirmed in the Lutheran Denomination. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and the outdoors.

Survivors include: one daughter – Amber Breedlove, Neosho, MO; one son – Drew Tromsness, Tahlequah, OK; two grandchildren – Alec Rothman, Neosho, MO, Kirstin Rothman, Neosho, MO; one sister and brother in-law Kathy and Dave McGowen, Shell Knob, MO; one brother and sister in-law – Andy and Debbie Tromsness, Galesburg, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother – Dwight Tromsness and his wife, Debbie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the Galesburg Christian Church with Pastor Kevin Bayless officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Galesburg.
