(From Parker Mortuary)Martha Kurtz, age 77, of Joplin, went home to be with her Lord and savior on January 3, 2021.
Martha, daughter of the late Joe and Vinita (Stephens) Turner, was born on September 30, 1943 in Joplin.
On June 24, 1967 she was united in marriage to James Kurtz in Joplin. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a faithful member the Southside Baptist Church of Joplin for over 50 years.
Survivors include her husband, James Kurtz, of Joplin; two daughters, Jocelyn Lyrock, and her husband, Robert, of Pearland, TX and Marlene Nash, of Joplin; two granddaughters, Ashley Marie Lyrock and Taylor Marie Nash; one brother, Larry Turner, and his wife, Patricia, of Frankston, TX; seven nieces and nephews, Julie Riley, Eddie Turner, Rickey Turner, Danny Turner, Mardisa Turner, Joe Leslie Turner, and Timmy Turner; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Parker Mortuary, Joplin with burial to follow at Ozark Memorial Park, Joplin. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 7th from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
