Allen Paul Lane, 68, Carthage, passed away on Sunday morning, December 28, 2014 at Freeman West in Joplin, MO. Allen was a son of the late L.P. Lane and Lorene (Hale) Lane. He was a graduate of the Carthage Senior High School, Class of 1965. He married Donna Rogers in 1967, she survives. Allen worked as a Senior Customer Service employee for Delta Airlines in Nashville, TN, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Blackman Church of Christ, Murfreesboro, TN and active with the Smyrna girls’ softball league, Smyrna, TN.
Additional survivors include one daughter; Laura Lane, (Ray), Smyrna, TN, one son; Christopher Lane, Carthage, one sister; Charlotte Wilson, Joplin, three grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Lane.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 1:30 PM in the Knell Mortuary Chapel. Minister Bob Dart will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed online at www.knellmortuary.com.
