Caroline Starkweather

Caroline Starkweather, age 97, of Webb City, Mo. passed away at 10:24 a.m. Sunday, December 14, 2014 at her home. Caroline was born August 25, 1917 in Webb City and was a lifetime resident. Caroline was employed as a Teller with the former First National Bank of Joplin for 27 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Webb City, the AY Chapter of the PEO Sisterhood, and a former member of the Joplin Business & Professional Women’s Club, Joplin Pilot Club, and the Woman’s Club of Joplin.

Survivors include three nephews, Henry Robertson and Malcolm Robertson and wife Janice, all of Joplin, and Patrick Robertson, San Francisco, CA., and cousins Frances Lewis and daughters Kathy and Barbara, Dr. James Lewis, John Lewis, and Nancy Smith, Melissa Thompson, Helen Rolleg, and her special caregiver, Melissa Larson.

Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Mt. Hope Cemetery open air chapel. The casket will be closed at all times. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home of Webb City, Mo.
