Nina was born on April 20, 1930 in Exeter, Mo., the daughter of the A.B. Wright and Burt & Rachel (Brown) Coile. Nina graduated from Joplin High School in 1948. She married Henry Deslatte in Galveston, Tx. While in Galveston she worked for the telephone company, transferring with them when she moved to Joplin. She opened and became the owner operator of Nina’s Guest House. She was a longtime member of Central Christian Center. She enjoyed traveling across the country in the motor home and she especially enjoyed traveling abroad.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Burt and Rachel Coile; a grandson, Brent Deslatte, and a brother Cecil Wright. Nina was survived by a son, Pastor Hank Deslatte and his wife Pam, Joplin; a daughter, Linda Deslatte, Joplin; a grandson, Aaron Deslatte, Tallahassee, Fl ; two sisters, Jan Nigles, and Bonnie Jacobs, both of Joplin; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Doug Wilkerson will officiate. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm. Saturday at Mason-Woodard Chapel, prior to service time. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Central Christian Center in care of the mortuary.
