Joey D. Hemphill, age 60, of Columbia, MO, passed away at his home on Saturday, December 27, 2014.
Joey was born on November 26, 1954 in Monett, MO, son of Joe and Eva Nell (Stewart) Hemphill. He had attended the Day Program at ACT in Columbia.
Joey was preceded in death by his parents; as well as one brother, Jim Hemphill; and one sister, Judy Hembree.
He is survived by two nephews, Phillip Camerer, and wife Robin, of Neosho, MO and David Camerer, of Seneca, MO; and his niece, Heidi Derryberry, of the home, Columbia, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett. Reverend Bert Ward will officiate. Interment will be in Arnhart Cemetery, Purdy, MO. Visitation will be held from 2-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
