Vivian Bowers

Vivian Aubrey Schell Bowers ‘Vee’, 95 of Montgomery, Ohio, passed away on December 30, 2014.

 Vee was born May 28, 1919 to Joe Cephus and Deller May (Pattersonl) Schell and grew up in Powell, Missouri with her sisters, Roxie Schell, Goldie Brumley (Albert E.), Fern Brust (Carroll), Caroline Naramore (Price), Betty May Davis (Ned) and brother, Joe Patterson Schell (J.P.). She was known for her blues playing on the piano, her made from scratch biscuits and gravy and her feisty personality. 

She married Irvin Leroy Bowers (Roy or I.L.) on October 31, 1937 and they were married nearly 70 years until his death in February, 2007. They moved to California around 1944 and lived in the same house they built in Northridge, California for 55 years before moving to Montgomery, Ohio in 2004. She is survived by a son, Richard L. Bowers and wife, Terri of Cincinnati; a daughter, Shelley Bowers Schweitzer of Wheaton, Illinois; her five grandchildren, Blake Bowers and wife, Katherine; Evan Bowers and wife, Erin; Nolan Bowers, Meredith Aubrey Britt and husband, Jon and Andrew Schweitzer; five great grandchildren, Tyler, Quinn, Morgan, Julien and Cole Bowers and her faithful canine companion, Little Big. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and sisters.
