David Earl Stone, age 60, Carl Junction, passed away at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Mercy Hospital after an illness.
David was born October 26, 1954 in Massachusetts to the late Joseph M. Stone, Jr. and Melinda Bekker Stone and had lived in the Joplin area for several years.
He had owned and operated an auto upholstery business called ‘The Top Shop’ for several years. He had also worked in home health care and was a machinist.
David is survived by his daughter, Crystal B. Stone, Carl Junction; three sons, Lance Owens, Texas, Ryan Owens, Missouri, Nathaniel Valenzuela, Missouri; one sister, Janice Manker, Kansas and four grandchildren, Dina Stone, Patricia Stone, Paige Knoll and Hayden Meyer.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a daughter, Dina Michelle Stone; one sister and one brother.
David has been taken for cremation. Memorial services are being planned for a future date.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
