Raymond V. John, Jr., 71, Carthage, passed away Tuesday, December 09, 2014 at his home after a long illness. Raymond V. John, Jr. was born November 4, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; the son of the late Raymond V. John, Sr. and Juanita Stewart John. He was a graduate of Seneca High School, Seneca, MO, Class of 1962. He married Terry Jean Strait on May 28, 1966 in Carthage; she survives. Raymond was a plumber in the family business of Stanton Plumbing, Carthage, till his retirement in 2005. He was a member of the Faith Life Worship Center, Carthage and was active in the Carthage Lions Club.
Additional survivors include a daughter; Kari S. Jones, Springfield, MO; two sons, Daniel R. (Kim) John, Fairland, OK and Scott R. (Megan) John, Neosho, MO; a sister, Charlotte John, Chilicothe, MO and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Raenita Johnston.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Knell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 12 in the Knell Mortuary Chapel.
