Lowell Long

Pastor Lowell W. Long, 83, Granby, died December 30, 2014 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, following a sudden illness. 

Lowell was born July 21, 1931 in Beatrice, Nebraska. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Lowell served as a minister beginning in 1956 and had pastored numerous churches in many states. He served as superintendent of the Apostolic Faith Bible College in Baxter Springs, Kansas for 2 years and taught there for 11 years. He moved to Granby in 1993 and pastored the Granby Gospel Tabernacle Church for many years and currently attended there.

 Lowell married Thelma L. Woodson on September 3, 1954 in Midway, Oklahoma and she survives. Other survivors include four children, Radonna Lynn Fiorini and husband, Phillip, of Lafayette, IN; Kurt Long and wife, Sunny of Laverne, OK; Clint E. Long of Edmond, OK and Jeremy D. Long of Norman, OK; one brother, Stanley B. Long of Wilmington, IL; one sister, Eloise Day of El Dorado, TX; 8 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a great granddaughter on the way. He is preceded in death by a son, Michael W. Long, May 1, 2001.
