Jo Ann Williams, age 70, of Joplin, MO., was called home to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ on December 11, 2014, following an illness.
Jo Ann was born on September 16, 1944 in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Albright) Crose. She married her high school sweet heart and love of her life, Cecil Williams on February 21, 1960 in Las Vegas, NV. Together they raised their three children in Sylmar, CA before relocating to Galena, KS in 1991.
Jo Ann is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Cecil Williams, her two daughters; Kathleen Woolston, and Crystal Robinson (David), and one son James Williams, five grandchildren; Dawn Nazos, Jason Hurwitz (Sarah), Christopher Robinson (Jessica), Matthew Robinson, Laura Robinson as well as two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Chance Clampitt and her faithful dog, Chip.
Jo Ann was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed making food for her family and loved ones. She loved gardening and watching her daytime soap operas. She was an active member of the Christ Point Church for many years. She loved children and enjoyed volunteering in their nursery.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory with Josh Pennington and Dan Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in the Osborn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:00 pm Sunday at the Mortuary. The family suggests contributions to the Hope Lodge in care of the American Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Masot-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
