William Clinton Troutman III, age 89 of Joplin passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at Quaker Hill Manor in Lowell, Kansas.
William was born August 15, 1925 to the late William C. Troutman Jr. and Flora Manchester Troutman in Joplin, MO at the family home. Mr. Troutman worked for over 30 years as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. He attended Joplin Junior College where he received his degree in business. William was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Joplin. He also served our country during WWII in the United States Army, being awarded many medals for his service.
On August 26, 1951 he married Helen Maxine Ard whom preceded him in death in 1984. To that union were five daughters, Debra Hamm and husband Jerry of Tuscan, Arizona, Cindy Oster and husband Tim of Joplin, Terilyn Newkirk and husband Jimmy of Webb City, Kelly Blakemore and husband David of Willard, Mo, Karolee Gibson and husband Kevin of Joplin; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a second wife, Imogene Marie Burke in 2001 and 4 sisters.
Services for Mr. Troutman are planned for Friday, December 19, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Parker Chapel. Family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. up to service time. Burial will take place at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the V.F.W. Post 534 of Joplin.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
