Michael Ross Kingsbury, Carthage, left this life on December 14, 2014 at 9:05 AM after a long and brave battle with cancer.
Michael was born April 2, 1953 to John W. Kingsbury, Sr. and Irene (Spurgeon) Kingsbury. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1971. He was active service from 1971-1975, mostly in Germany. He was U.S. Army Reserve until 1978. He was very proud of his service to his country. He was a loyal and dedicated employee of Tri-State Motor Transit, Joplin for 34 years.
He married Adele Christine Bayless April 23, 1976 in Carthage, she survives. He is also survived by Michael B. Kingsbury. He is also survived by the greatest joy, pride and loves of his life, his grandson Michael Loren Kingsbury and granddaughter Gabriella Kingsbury and their loving and endearing mother Mary M. Mason of Carthage. Four brothers John W. Kingsbury, Jr, Arizona. Walter Kingsbury, Jeff Kingsbury and Tony Kingsbury, all of Carthage. Three sisters, BK Blesh, Hawaii, Linda Dodson, Carthage and Lydia Berg, California.
The family will be at the home of Ronnie and Linda Dodson 2154 Laura, Carthage. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday December 18, 2014 at Hackney Cemetery, northeast of Carthage. A Military Honors Service will be held. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday December 17, 2014 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Online Condolences may be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
