Glen Randall "Randy" Spiva, age 62, of Joplin, Mo. passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Randy was born on August 15th, 1952, to Glen H. Spiva and Mary W. Chitwood. Randy grew up in Yukon, Oklahoma, and returned to the Joplin area in the 80's where he began working for CFI as a fleet manager. He was employed by Jasper Products for the past 9 years. Randy married the love of his life, Pam (Lassiter) Spiva on April 7th, 1999 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He loved riding his motorcycles, watching NASCAR, and spending time with his family and friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruby and Virgil Spiva, Art and Alma Chitwood; Father-in-law, Butch Lassiter, and his parents Mary and Glen Spiva.
He is survived by his wife, Pam (Lassiter) Spiva, Stepchildren, Stacie Lett and partner Chasidy, Chad Lett and wife Tara, Mother-in-Law, Sue Lassiter, Sisters-in-Law, Kim McAllister and husband Shawn, Traci Kessler and husband, Jim, and one granddaughter, Abigail Lett.
Visitation will be Friday, December 12, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary in Joplin, with cremation to follow.
