Evelyn May Taylor age 95 of Joplin, Mo passed away on Saturday December 6, 2014 at the Spring River Christian Village.
She was born on May 5, 1919 in Bartlesville, Ok the daughter of Frank and Matilda “Tice” Reed. She married Wilmer “Bud” Taylor on April 16, 1939. Evelyn was a house wife helping her husband on their dairy farm. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Missouri Rental Association, she loved sewing, crocheting and making dolls.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bud, her parents, two brothers: Roy Reed and Robert Reed; and a sister Dorothy Throop. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday December 10, 2014 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory. Burial will follow in the Forest Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday at the mortuary. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association in care of the mortuary.
