Verlin "Bill" Maggard age 87 of Carthage, MO passed away December 6, 2014.
He was born June 23, 1927 in Ozark, Missouri to Frank and Maggie (Willoughby) Maggard. Bill was a former production worker for Morrow Foods.
Bill was united in marriage to Elizabeth Pennington. She preceded her in death on July 25, 1979. Bill is survived by two sons, Jack Maggard of Carthage, MO. and Bob Maggard of Reeds, MO..One step-son, Fred Maggard of Carthage, MO.. One daughter, Donna Balster of Jasper, MO.. Two step-daughters, Mary Fenton of Reeds, MO> and Barb Parker of Carthage, MO.. Three grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers, two sisters, one son, Mike and a daughter.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Reeds Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 9, 2014 from 6:00 till 7:00 P.M. at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO.
