Cheryl Marie Hayworth, age 63, of Oakton, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
Cheryl was born June 23, 1951 at Burbank, California to Floyed and Alma Marie (Perkins) Eaves. On October 8, 1980, at Riverside, California, she married Larry Hayworth and they made their home in California until 2009 when they moved to Lamar to be near family. Cheryl earned an associates degree from Bakersfield Junior College where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She worked for Aegis Medical in Bakersfield for three years before becoming a drug counselor for the California Prison System. Cheryl enjoyed motorcycle riding, crafts, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Oakton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Larry, of the home; her father and step-mother, Floyed & Norma Eaves, Lamar; two sons, Dan (Tiffany) Hayworth, Lamar and Scott Hayworth, Mission Viejo, California; a sister, Carol Lynn Boren, Lamar; a brother, Dave (Pam) Eaves, Lamar; three step-brothers, Steve (Priscilla) Sweet and Kent Sweet all of Lamar, and Charles (Autumn) Sweet, Granby, Missouri; three grandchildren, Cody Ryan, Ashlyn Marie and Bailey Grace; numerous nephews, nieces, and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.
Honoring Cheryl’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
