Lawrence Borland

Lawrence V. Borland, 78, passed away December 29, 2014 at St. Luke’s Nursing Center of Carthage.

 Lawrence was born October 15, 1936 in Butler, Missouri to Virgil L. Borland and Constance Chitwood Borland, he was born in Butler and raised in Carthage and worked and traveled for Jim Martin construction for many years. He was a member of the former Eagles lodge, and the V.F.W. of Carthage and the Brick layers union.

 Lawrence is survived by one Sister Nadine Smith of Joplin, MO and three brothers Glen Borland and wife Barbara of Carthage, MO, Joe Borland and wife Melva of Carthage, and Gary Borland and wife Pam of Carthage, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Lawrence is preceded by his parents, one sister Lois Langevin and one brother Vance Borland. 

Memorial visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday January 2, 2015 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Contributions can be made to the charity of choice in Lawrence’s memory in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
