Marilyn Cravens, 80, Carthage, formerly of Diamond, died December 30, 2014 at the Carthage Health and Rehab in Carthage, following an extended illness.
Marilyn was born Sept. 19, 1934 in Hartville, MO, the daughter of Luther and Chrissie (Coday) Cravens. She lived in Texas for many years where she worked as a bookkeeper for a trucking company and returned to the Diamond area in 2000. She was a member of the New Beginnings Nazarene Church in Sarcoxie.
Marilyn is survived by a son, Carl Crumpley of Ft. Collins, CO; two sisters, Esta Lee Turner of Diamond and Sue Burlison of Southwest City; one brother, Don Cravens of Whitehouse, TX; two grandchildren; the father of her children, Rex Crumpley; and numerous other family members. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Crumpley in 2012 and her parents.
