Janice Kay Galloway, age 77 of Joplin, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
Janice was born on the family farm on November 12, 1937 to the late Earl Dawes and Maxine Lewellen Dawes in Brewster, Kansas.
Janice worked as an R.N. and also taught nursing classes in Colby, Kansas. She received her Master's Degree from Texas Christian University in Fort. Worth, TX. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
On July 03, 1976, Janice married Bill Galloway in Wichita, Kansas. He survives of the home.
Additional survivors include a son, Randy Brown of Joplin; grandchildren, Erynn, Emylee, Shaun and Christopher Brown; great-grandchildren, Mason and Lylee; brother, Don Dawes and wife Phyillis of Brewster, KS; sisters, Sonja Briggman and husband Terry of Hutchison, Kansas and Judy Dunlap of Highland, Kansas.
She is preceded in death by one daughter, Larinda Brown and a son, Richard Brown.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
