Colleen Rumley

Colleen (Farley) Rumley passed away December 10, 2014 in Russellville, Arkansas.

 She was born June 11, 1929 in Stark City, Missouri, the daughter of William Glenn and Berta Irene (Landreth) Farley. She graduated from the Midway High School in 1947. On May 18, 1947 she married Carl Rumley at her parents’ home in Stark City. Colleen’s early years were spent helping to raise the ten brothers and sisters who came along after her birth. After their marriage, she and Carl lived in several areas, eventually settling in the Tulsa/Jenks Oklahoma communities for approximately 40 years. During that time she worked many years at the old Parker’s Grocery in Jenks.

Mrs. Rumley is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jo and Bob Bartlett, Janis and Raymond Barnett; son and daughter in-law, Edward and Marilyn Rumley; Grandchildren, Carl (Loretta) Hughes, Sara (Matt) Laroe; Anne (Kyle) Gift; John Rumley, Scott (Denise) Bartlett and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Bud Farley and Jim Farley, and three sisters, Peggy Long and Linda Reynolds, and Patsy Bridges, along with many nieces and nephews.
Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and an infant son. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Eaton and Bessie Bumpas; and three brothers Lewis Farley, Leroy Farley and Jack Farley.

Family members will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the wonderful people who cared for our Mother at the Stella Manor Nursing Center in Russellville during the final years of her life.
