Daniel J. Smith, 58, of Carthage passed away December 31, 2014 in Springfield, Missouri.
Daniel was born December 16, 1956 in Joplin, Missouri to Clarence Smith and Thelma Keller Smith. Daniel was a lifetime Carthage resident and worked for Uke’s Tire, Hunter Tire and Butterball Inc. He was of the Pentecostal Faith.
Daniel was married to Kathleen Littrell December 31, 1998 in Miami, Oklahoma she survives. Daniel is survived by one daughter Jennifer Williamson of Carthage, MO and Jeff Littrell of Duenweg, MO, three sisters Lorene Hendricks and husband Buddy, Della Neel and Nancy Brooks and husband J.C. all of Carthage, two brothers Jay Smith of Sarcoxie and Russell Smith of Reeds, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday January 3, 2015 at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Carthage on Chestnut and Case. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday January 3, 2015 at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Carthage on Chestnut and Case. Memorial contributions can be made to the Daniel Smith memorial fund in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
