Bonnie Brumfield

Bonnie Gay Brumfield, 81, Neosho, joined her Lord and family members on Dec. 8, 2014, after a battle with cancer.

 Bonnie Gay Hively was born in Vinson, OK, to Edgar Lee Hively and Haley A. (Smith) Hively on Jan 22, 1933. She grew up in Wellington, Texas with a musical family and sang with her brother and sisters in the Hively Quartet. She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at age 14 and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. 

The family moved to Neosho in 1951, where she met O.T Brumfield, her future husband at Northside Baptist Church. They married Aug 3, 1952 and raised three children, Pearlene, Laquita Gay and Tommy Lavon in a loving, Christian home. Bonnie assisted her husband on the family farm for 37 years. They moved to Grove, OK where they enjoyed fishing and returned to Neosho. Bonnie is survived by her husband, OT; children, Pearlene and Bill Breshears, Bolivar; Laquita and Bill Lyttle, Neosho and Tommy Brumfield, Joplin. Four grandchildren: Reggie Breshears and fiancée Kristie Bartlett, Cherita and Michael Heller, Latisha and Robert Stevens, Tamara and Rob Youngblood and 14 great grandchildren.Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lavon Hively and Dale Hively; and sisters, Audie Burks and Noma Lee Brun and their spouses.
