Trevor Lee Koenig, 16, of Pierce City, MO, was called home to his Heavenly Father on Saturday evening, January 2, 2016 while at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO.

Trevor was born on December 24, 1999 in Joplin, MO. He attended Pierce City High School, where he was active and excelled in FFA, and would have graduated with the Class of 2018. At school, Trevor was very sociable. He loved going to school events and football games. He also was an animal lover. For his last birthday, Trevor got a Pit Bull and he named her Lola. Trevor was an avid video gamer, spending countless hours defeating his opponents at Mortal Kombat. He also liked watching Anime.

Trevor is survived by his parents, Jodie Lynne Koenig and Clint Lee O’Hara, of Pierce City; his brother, Kyler Koenig, of Pierce City; his sister, Abby O’Hara, of Pierce City; his step-sister, Kayden Dillbeck, of Pierce City; his grandfather, Raymond Koenig, of Pierce City; three aunts, Stacy Cloud, Mendy Dollar and husband Mike, and Kara Young; cousins, Austin Cloud, Kristofer Cloud, Cooper George, Adyson George, Logan O’Hara, Escher Dollar, Ethan Dollar and Aspen Dollar; his father, Bob Miller, and step-mother, Nicole, of Kentland, IN; half-sisters, Jasmine and Amelia Miller, and half-brother, Robert Miller, all of Kentland, IN.

Trevor was preceded in death by his brother, Brenden Koenig; and his grandmother, Chris Koenig.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Pierce City. Reverend Ryan McMillian will be officiating. Interment will be held at St. Agnes Cemetery, Sarcoxie. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Koenig Family in care of First State Bank. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home.
