Alvin Wade

Alvin Clay Wade, age 69, passed away at 9:31 am, Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, MO.

Alvin was born January 5, 1952 in Joplin, Missouri. His parents were Clinton LeRoy and Barbara Jean (Armer) Wade. He was a lifetime resident of Galena.

He graduated from Galena High School with the class of 1970. He worked several years at TAMKO Roofing, retiring in 1994. He then owned and operated Wade’s Wrecker Service and Automotive, in Galena, a business he ran until he retired in 2004.








Alvin attended Camp Joy Ministry in Galena. He enjoyed playing dominoes with this family and going to casinos. His greatest pastime was going on walks with his best friend, “Mojo”

Alvin was married to Gail Ann Freudendahl on June 10, 1970 in Galena, KS. She passed away October 10, 2019. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Brooke Wade Murray, and two brothers, his twin Alan Wade and younger brother Robert Wade.

He is survived by one daughter, Blair Reed, Galena; one brother, Tom Wade (wife, Lesa), Galena; two sisters, Aleta Sanders (husband, Dan), Galena, and Rebecca Stillions (husband, Bill), Joplin; and three grandchildren, Hunter Reed (wife, Sierra), Valley Center, CA, Maycee Reed and Keeley Reed, both of Galena.

Alvin was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS for cremation.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
