David Box

With deepest sorrow we announce that David Box III, age 35, passed away on January 7, 2021 at Mercy hospital with his family by his side. David was born on September 6, 1985 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

David will be missed everyday by his two beautiful daughters, Madison Anna Box and Marleigh Rae Box. His daughters were his pride and joy. They were his whole world. 

He is also survived by his parents Clancy Grissom, and David and Carrie Box, Jr., sister, Aimee Maningas and husband Talon, brothers; Seth Box and wife Morgan, Samuel Box and wife Tonya, and Jonah Box, along with grandparents Connie and David Box, Sr. We know that David is now with his grandparents, Bud and Pat Hays, and his cousins, Stevie Ray Box and Corey Lee Box, and is loved on earth as well as in heaven.

David attended College Heights Christian School kindergarten through his sophomore year. His family moved to Gulf Shores, Alabama where he finished his education at Gulf Shores High School. David went on to get his real estate license and sold homes in Gulf Shores. 

David later moved back to Joplin and worked for his grandfather at David Box Auto Sales and also with his father at Box Properties. David was very gifted at music and at building computers, which he loved doing. He was an exceptionally talented young man, never afraid to speak his mind, with an irreplaceable sense of humor. 

Our time with Davey will always be cherished. He was a beloved father, son, grandson, and brother and we will always hold him close in our hearts. We were greatly blessed to have had him in our lives. He will always be highly favored and deeply loved.

The immediate family will hold a private celebration of his life. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
