(From Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home)Caroline J. Kirkpatrick, of Parsons, passed away at 5:55 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at her home.
Caroline Jean Bybee was born on September 20, 1943, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a young girl, she grew up and attended school in Oklahoma City. In 1961, she graduated from Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City.
After raising her family, Caroline worked at Cloth World in Joplin from 1981 to 1998. In 1999, she became the manager of Dawson Heritage Furniture Company in Webb City, Missouri, until her retirement in 2012. She and her husband moved to Parsons in 2016.
On March 19, 1960, Caroline and Dewayne Kirkpatrick were united in marriage in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He survives of the home.

One son – Marcus Dee Kirkpatrick (Tracy) of Columbia, Missouri
One daughter – Kelly Dee Kirkpatrick (Anthony Ratcliffe) of Parsons, Kansas
Three granddaughters – Anna Elizabeth, Katie Lanette and Hope Noel Kirkpatrick of Columbia, Missouri
Four sisters – Linda Tanksley (Don) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Lila Johnson (Gary) of Collinsville, Oklahoma
Brenda Caskey (Dwayne) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Debra Bourbeau of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
The chapel service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Galena, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. The funeral service can be viewed live on the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home Facebook page. For all events, social distancing guidelines will be followed, including the requirement of face masks.
