Eldon Morgan

Eldon Lloyd Morgan was born May 12, 1933 in Diamond, West Union Community, Missouri, one of two children to Glenn and Letha (Smith) Morgan. He entered into rest on January 9, 2021 in Seneca, following a courageous battle with Covid at the age of 87. 

Eldon served his country in the U.S. Army overseas in Germany during the Korean era. He returned to Neosho in October of 1969 and worked at First National Bank and its successors. 

He purchased the Long Insurance Agency and operated Morgan Insurance Company until his retirement in 1994. Eldon was a former member of the Neosho Kiwanis Clube and the Roadrunners Club, Joplin. He was a member and former Elder at the Hillcrest Church of Christ. Eldon was a kind and gentle man with servant's heart. 

Eldon and Mavis Geraldine 'Deanie' Kulp on July 16, 1955 in Neosho and she preceded him in death on July 13, 2011. 

He is survived by a son, Steve Morgan and wife, Karen of Neosho; grandson, Shane Morgan and fiance, Cassie Ward of Kansas City, Missouri and one sister, Phyllis Wolfenbarger of Austin, Texas. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents.
