(From Greenfield Funeral Chapel)Mildred J. Weimer, of Lockwood, MO, departed this life on Sunday, January 10, 2021, in her home at the age of 89.
She was born on May 22, 1931 in Buffalo, MO to John Paul and Nelly (Burton) Line. Mildred graduated from Buffalo High School.
She was united in marriage to Eldred James Weimer. Mildred and her husband, Eldred, owned and operated an electrician business. She was a member of the Lockwood American Legion Post #372 Auxiliary. Mildred loved her family and enjoyed working on her farm. She was an avid gardener.
Preceding her in death were her parents, John Line and Nelly Line Arnold; her husband, Eldred Weimer; five brothers, Johnny Line, George Line , Clarence Prather, Luther Prather, and Henry Chitwood; and one sister, Deborah Dockery.
Survivors include her five daughters, Tracy Hernandez, Cindy Kessler, Tina Gregory, Cody McDonald, and Angela Lisa Metcalf; one sister, Loretta Stephens; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021, in Collins Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to view and pay their respects on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Greenfield Funeral Chapel. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, please be mindful of maintaining a social distance. Also, you are welcome to and, indeed, encouraged to wear face masks to protect yourselves and others.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lockwood American Legion Post #372. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
