Vicky Frost

Vicky Jo Frost, age 55, of Joplin, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at her home.

Vicky, daughter of Arnal Morris and Joy (Peters) Morris, was born on August 7, 1965 in Joplin. She was raised and attended school in the Joplin area. 

She was united in marriage to Johna Frost in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He preceded her in death on August 1, 2016. Together they resided in North Carolina where she and her husband owned a shrimp stand, where they sold fresh shrimp they retrieved from their boat on the Atlantic Sea. 

 After her husband’s death she returned to Joplin to be closer to her family and where she was currently employed at Applebee’s in Joplin.

Survivors include her mother, Joy Morris, and Ron Mitchell, of Joplin; one daughter, Lindsey Thompson, and her husband, Jeremy, of Oronogo; two sisters, Cari Putnam, and her husband, Dennis, of Joplin, and Michel Keeter, also of Joplin; two grandchildren, Daniel and Aria Thompson; nephews, Jason Putnam, and Tiffany, Blake Putnam, and Hailey, Brandon Cline, and David Keeter; one niece, Emily Keeter; her beloved cats, Jasper and Charlie; and multiple extended family in North Carolina. 

In addition to her husband, Vicky was preceded in death by her father, Arnal Morris.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Monday, January 18, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Parker Mortuary in Joplin. The family will hold private services with wishes of cremation to follow.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
