(From Parker Mortuary)Betty Jo Long, 69, of Joplin, Missouri passed away on November 19, 2021 due to illness.
Betty Jo was born in Columbus, KS to Robert and Mary Babst.
She worked for 50 years at Babst Roofing and Sheet Metal Co. as the office manager before retiring.
Betty Jo is survived by her husband of 42 years, Timothy Long Sr.; son, Timothy Long Jr., and wife, Misty, of Owasso, Ok; daughter, Jennifer Short, and husband, Jeff, of Joplin; two grandchildren, Timothy Long III and MacKenzie Short; brother, Robert Babst, and wife, Joyce, of Joplin; sister, Rosemary Denton, and husband Doug, of Owasso, Ok; and a cousin, Nora Harper, of Joplin.
