(From Lockwood Funeral Chapel)Myrtle Louise Guinn, of Lockwood, MO, departed this life on Sunday, November 21, 2021, in the Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation Facility at the age of 84.
She was born on December 11, 1936 in Dade County, MO to Charles Russell and Alma (Greer) Woods. Myrtle graduated from Lockwood High School. She was united in marriage to Harvey C. Guinn on December 19, 1959 in Lockwood, MO. Myrtle was a homemaker, and was an active member of the Lockwood United Methodist Church. Together with her husband and siblings, they enjoyed traveling and bluegrass music.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles and Alma Woods; her husband, Harvey Guinn; five brothers, Hershel Woods, Robert Woods, Leon Woods, Carl Woods, and Marvin Woods; and three sisters, Zella Marie Woods, Helen Loretta Hall, and Viola Faye Pierce.
Survivors include one sister, Gladys Nadene Woods of Lockwood, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at the Lockwood United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Lockwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lockwood Cemetery and to the Lockwood United Methodist Church.
