Robert McClendon

Robert L. McClendon was born September 28, 1942, in Neosho, Missouri, one of six children to Edward W. and Margaret I. (Norris) McClendon. He entered into rest on November 26, 2021, at his home in Moberly, Missouri, at the age of 79. 

Robert was a graduate of Diamond High School and owned and operated a truck company for 47 years. He enjoyed restoring old pick-ups and trucks and working on lawnmowers. 

He moved to Moberly following the death of his wife to be with his family. He was a member of Silver Moon Full Gospel Church. 

Robert and Nava (Johnson) were married on February 14, 1969, in Neosho, and she preceded him in death on January 26, 2017. 

He is survived by two children, Shelly Edens and Kyle McClendon, both of Moberly; seven grandchildren, Zachary, Kylee, Jayden, Ashton, Megan, Jairus, and Dakota; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul McClendon of Stark City and one sister, Barbara Spinks of Virginia. 

In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Olivia and three siblings, Ed McClendon, Bonnie Adams and Kathy Nelson.
